5 Tips From Our “Mombassadors” On How To Stay Fit Throughout Motherhood
It’s tough to find the time and energy for a workout while being a mom. But you’re not ALONE! Our community of mombassadors is always finding clever ways to stay in shape. Here are 5 of our favorite tips from our group:
Tip #1. Nap time means GO time
Working out doesn’t have to be a two hour long event. Even if you only have 10-15 minutes, that’s PLENTY of time to crush a bodyweight workout right inside the comfort of your home.
If your children have regularly scheduled nap times, make sure to prioritize this time for your exercise sessions.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Just remember, you’re setting an example for them! ” - Shelly (Mom of 3) 🥰😘
Tip #2. Use household items to feel the burn!
No weights? No problem! Our momambassadors love showing off unique household items they’re using to get their workouts done. Gallons of water are the perfect way to build strength in your upper body.
Got a broomstick? Try holding it overhead while doing squats and feel your legs and abs BURN! Plus, thinking of new objects to use in your workouts is a great way to break up the routine and make the workouts creative.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “I can be a mother and work on my health. Nothing is impossible 💫You have to give yourself the chance to do it in order to see change. Setting an example for our children is also a plus.” - ARAEL (Wife and mama of 2) 🥰😘
Tip #3. Make it a family event
It’s more important than ever to make sure we’re passing healthy habits down to our kids. That’s why it’s a great idea to make exercising a family event!
Our mombassador, Kristi, says “At first I didn’t think my kids would like joining workouts with me, but they actually LOVE it! We now have daily walks every afternoon, and finish with fun exercises like jumping jacks and cartwheels.
I get to burn calories while they get to burn off some energy before bedtime.”
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "If you need motivation to workout today - put on that sports bra & lace up those sneakers. Getting dressed is half the battle.LET'S DO THIS! 💥" - SYDNEY (Mom of 2) 🥰😘
Tip #4. No need for fancy bikes or classes - search on Facebook marketplace for second hand equipment
Many moms think that if they don’t have an expensive $3,000 exercise bike, they won’t be able to get an effective workout done.
Nonsense! Home gym equipment was almost impossible to find a year ago. Now if you search second hand websites like ebay or Facebook marketplace - it’s all over the place! After doing a quick search in our neighborhood, we found plenty of quality spin bikes priced at $150 or less.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Thank you thank you! Love this company! Love being an ambassador!🥳🥳❤️❤️" - MEL (Young mother) 🥰😘
Tip #5. Find comfortable workout clothes you can stay in all day
Starting the day off in workout clothes is crucial for taking advantage of any freetime you may find during the day. Instead of wasting 5-10 min prepping for a workout - you can already have your outfit on and equipment ready to go.
The key is to find athleticwear that’s comfortable enough to be worn throughout the entire day. The EQYL collection is both comfortable and supportive for all day wear.
